Question:

What does the light on the D-D ATO sensor show?

Answer:

The sensor on the DDATO has different light colours and patterns to warn of faults or show its status.

Flashing blue and red LED. The unit has been powered on and it is going through its startup process.

Flashing blue LED. A low water level has been detected and the top up unit is operating the pump to refill with fresh water.

Short intermitting blinking blue LED. The waterlevel is above the failsafe sensor and the unit has been temporarily deactivated. When the water level returns to below the emergncy sensor the unit will return to normal operation. The failsafe sensor can be activated after each top up on nano aquariums, this is normal and no action needs to be taken.

Solid Blue LED. The top up unit is in normal standby mode.

Flashing red LED. Alarm mode has been activated. The unit has detected an issue and or the freshwater reservoir is empty. Please click here for more information.
