Aqua-Pro Reef Peninsula Aquariums provide a large viewing area and and impressive depth to allow space for a central aquascape and provide excellent proportions.  

An internal weir box can become an unattractive focal point in any aquarium, dictating aquascaping and interrupting flow patterns inside the tank.

The D-D 'invisible' weir box has been carefully designed to minimise intrusion into the aquarium and allow a clear view into the aquarium from three sides. 

Incorporated into the weir the twin pipe overflow system allows almost silent running whilst the use of the D-D Ultra Flow weir comb allows the maximum amount of waterflow without raising the water height in the aquarium.

The Aqua-Pro Reef cabinets are manufactured and built for D-D in the U.K to ensure a consistent high quality. With a modern sleek design, the cabinets enhance the look of the aquarium as well as being a complimentary piece of furniture for your room.

Each cabinet is delivered pre-assembled in a choice of six standard finishes and four premium gloss or matt laminate finishes. All come complete with soft close hinges that are fully adjustable and have a quick release mechanism. This allows the doors to be aligned in three directions and easily removed for full access into the cabinet for maintenance. To retain the clean style and contemporary looks the cabinets are fitted with push open mechanisms so no handles are needed.

With larger aquariums comes more weight so the peninsula cabinets are fitted as standard with an integrated metal frame. This is made from aircraft grade aluminium section which is cut and fastened together with special custom stainless steel brackets and high strength rivets.

The AquaFrame system allows you to future-proof your aquarium by enabling you to change the cabinet colours at any time, to match a change in decor, without buying a brand new cabinet.

Peninsula cabinets feature opening doors on one side and faux doors on the opposite to give a balanced duel aspect look. A large opening in the end of the cabinet allows for ventilation and access for pipes, cables, etc to be passed through and the open interior provides as much space as possible for equipment.

D-D have many decades of experience in designing, building and running large successful aquariums and have combined this knowledge to produce what we believe is the perfect simple sump layout for the space available. The ultra quiet twin pipe weir system is further refined by the first section of the sump, resulting in a silent water return with no splashing or gurgling. 

If using the filter sock arrangement (option when ordering), the water then overflows into a filter sock section which incorporates a diffused silencer plate to reduce any water noise. 

After passing through the first prefilter or equipment section water flows into a second large compartment that can be used for equipment or as a refugium. Either chamber can hold equipment such as skimmers, media reactors, calcium reactors etc. The final section is a return pump compartment which sits beside the integrated water top off reservoir.
