Question:

My smart controller on my Clarisea is showing an alarm, what does it mean and how do I reset it?

Answer:

The smart controller which has specific programming to stop the machine under certain circumstances.

Possible Alarm Conditions:

Possible roll jam/motor failure (float held in up position)

• Red alarm LED will flash

• Audible alarm will sound for 2 seconds every 5 seconds

• Automatic advance of fleece disabled.

Possible fleece empty (float not triggered within 8 hours)

• Blue/Red LED both flashing, audible alarm will sound for 1 second every 2 seconds

• Automatic advance of fleece disabled.

Possible installation error (float not triggered with 48 hours)

• Red LED will flash at 10 second intervals (audible alarm will sound with each flash)

• Automatic advance of fleece disabled.

Both of these 2 states will alarm and disable the auto advance to protect the motor. This means that it will overflow the outlet but not move on.

To reset the alarm and clear the controller press and hold the alarm button for 5-7 seconds. This will clear all alarm states and the unit will go back in to normal operation.

Please note very time you move on the filter manually you create a clean roll situation, which means that it takes time to dirty up again which it must do within 8 hours or it will alarm and disable the auto advance. Under normal operation the roll only moves on a few centimetres at a time so there is no issue with hitting the 8-hour limit unless there is a bypass problem with the unit or it has run out of roll.
