Question:

I have just set up a reactor with Nutrifix bio pellets, how do I get them to fluidise and stop them floating?

Answer:

When the pellets are new micro air bubbles to collect on the surface and the pellets to rise to the top of the reactor. After 7-14 days the bio films that have built on the pellets should stabilise the surface tension and the pellets should drift to the bottom and start to fluidise properly.

After 5-7 days to switch the feed pump off and rattle the reactor to get the pellets to drop and then fire the reactor back up again.
