Question:

Do I need to mix my bucket of H2Ocean salt before using it?

Answer:

The salt can require mixing due to the fact that certain elements in the salt mix are slightly heavier than others. When the salt travels long distances by land the vibration can cause these elements to settle out.
This is why we advise mixing a new bucket well or you may find Magnesium as an example is low at the top of the bucket and increases in concentration as you reach the bottom of the bucket.

To mix the salt we suggest moving out half the contents into another clean bucket, placing the lids on both and rolling the buckets to mix them. Both buckets can then be emptied back into the original bucket for a final mix by rolling.

If you test a new mix from a new bucket and levels are all within specification at the correct salinity the chances are the bucket hasn’t started to separate and no further mixing is required.
