Question:

The tap and check valve on my FMR75 reactor are leaking, what do I do?

Answer:

The one way valve needs to be placed on the exit side of the reactor facing the correct direction. The one-way valves are not pressure rated and are merely to prevent the unit draining quickly if the pump is off or the reactor is housed above the water level. If it is on the pressure side of the reactor or before a controll tap it may begin to drip.

The controll tap is directional, as directed by the arrow on the top or side of the tap itself. If this arrow is not facing the direction of water flow the tap has been installed backwards and will need to be turned around. This should prevent any dripping.

We suggest mounting the tap and check valve just above the water surface as a precausion so that any drips that may occur over time will be of no consequence.
