Introduction

The Reef Zlements 2 Part Dosing System

The Reef Zlements easy-to-use two-part system is meticulously formulated to replenish and balance alkalinity, supplying the correct ratios of 11 macro elements and 13 trace elements. The incorporation of specific ion balancing elements also gives you the ability to control the pH in your aquarium, fostering an ideal environment for good coral health, vitality and growth.

Part 1: Two versions are available, Reef Zlements Complete and Reef Zlements pH Plus. These two interchangeable solutions are both responsible for supplying alkalinity along with 7 other macro and trace elements to your system and contain 10,000 dKH units in every litre. Just 10 ml of either bottle will raise the alkalinity of 100 litres of water by 1dKH, ensuring a stable and healthy environment for your reef.

The two solutions differ in the effect that continuous use will have on the pH of your water.
Complete: Ensures optimal alkalinity whilst gently elevating pH.
pH Plus: Ensures optimal alkalinity whilst actively increasing pH.

Choose either Complete or pH Plus or both depending on the pH you want to achieve in your aquarium. To tailor the pH it is possible to mix Complete with pH Plus in various ratios to create a custom pH adjustment blend specific to your own aquarium. This can be achieved either by mixing the two Part 1 components directly together to form one new solution, or by dosing the Complete and pH Plus components separately, creating in effect an infinitely adjustable 3-part dosing system.

Part 2: Reef Zlements Universal, is a separate solution containing approximately 72,000 ppm of Calcium, complemented by Magnesium and a precisely balanced blend of 14 other macro and trace elements essential for the well-being of your corals.

Additional information

During cold weather some crystalisation may occur on part 1 - make sure not to dose the product whilst crystallised. Nonetheless, such crystallisation doesn't affect the product which after warming it up (by placing the container in hot water in the sink for 15-30 min giving it a good shake), will return to normal.

A suggested approach is to keep Part 1 container in the same cabinet as the sump and not in direct contact with the house floor or cabinet, this will keep Part 1 warm and will avoid crystallisation. Another option is to use a 5 watt reptile heating mat or a polystyrene board underneath Part 1 container.

PLEASE NOTE: pHPlus should only be poured into official pHPlus bottles, as they are specifically designed to resist disintegration.

Use of the H2P System with the KH Manager

The H2P System can be automated when using the D-D KH Manager linked with a D-D P4 Series dosing pump.

The KH manager will automatically select the dosing of pH Plus or Complete to stabilise and control the pH of the aquarium throughout the 24-hour daily cycle, along with replenishing KH due to any abnormal changes from external factors, such as the addition of an iron-based phosphate remover that can cause temporary depletion of KH.

Base dosing, dosing limits along with alerts and re-testing protocols can be set to ensure that dosing cannot become out of control or excessive changes made that could cause harm in your aquarium.
