Question:

How do i supply a slow constant water feed to a nitrate reactor or calcium reactor?

Answer:

The best and most stable way to feed a calcium or nitrate reactor will be with a peristaltic pump that is designed for continuous use, one of our FX-STP stepper motor pumps would be a very good choice. These will give you a constant controllable flow rate.

It is possible to use a T piece to take a feed from an existing pump and use a controll tap e.g. from the main return pump for the aquarium. When using this method the flow rate will need to be checked regularly as it is common for the flow to speed up or slow down.
