Question:

How do I set the lunar cycle on my Aquaillumination 26HD, 52HD or Prime HD

Answer:

The Lunar works by the user manually setting a channel to run through the night. On your shedule set a channel to run through the night during the period you would like lunar. This must be set to a minimum of 5% and should not overlap the normal daytime lighting plan. For example if the daytime plan is between 2pm and 10pm, set the chosen lunar chanel to run between 10:30pm and 1:30pm.

Select Lunar to ‘on’ and set the times to match the lunar chanel you set in the previous step.

Make sure the lunar times do not clash with the daylight times or the lunar program will start to set the daylight preset as if it was following the moon.

The way the lunar setting works is based on the phases of the moon. Some nights there will be a full moon and the settings will run at the full power that the chanel is set to, some nights there will be a half-moon so it will take that max setting and run it at half power. Other nights there may be no moon so the channel set will be set at 0%.

Also remember that if you set the channel to run all through the night on your graph but you only have lunar set to come on for a portion of that time the channel will go back to its set percentage outside the lunar set times. For example.

Day lights are set to come on at 10am and go off at 10pm
The channel you set for lunar is set to run from 10pm to 10am at 5%
You set lunar to run from 11pm – 6am

This will mean when the daylight finishes at 10pm the blue channel will run at 5% until it reaches the lunar set time at 11pm, at this point it will follow the moon. When the lunar reaches 6am it will switch off and that channel will revert to 5% blue until 10am when the daytime ramp up starts.
