Hi,
As a Marine newbie, I have my eye very much on the 28G CF Nano Cube which seems to meet my needs very well, but would like clarification as to its limitations with regard to lighting/coral support. I looked at the HQI, but can see that it runs HOT without a cooler, which is not possible for me to add due to space limitations, and the LED version though VERY nice is also a little expensive. I would like to support a few corals and a few
Marine fish, on a living rock base, but want to know really whether SPS, LPS and softies are all possible, or whether it is unrealistic with the standard CF lighting system supplied.
Thanks Ian
Hi Ian
The new CF 28 gallon nano cube is more than capable of sustaining light
loving SPS, LPS and soft coral.
With 110 watts of available light over a relatively small footprint this
will be more than adequate for your corals and even clams.
As a side note many hobbyists do run the the HQI nano's without chillers but
during hot weather i would always advise the use of a chiller, our smallest chiller will actually fit
in the cabinet if space is problematic.
regards Tony
