SOL lights via one controller query

Question:

Hi

I have 3 SOL lights linked to one controller.

On lunar setting the last light in the chain was still on though the other two were off. Is this correct? Do they switch off singly or should they all run and go off together?

Please advise .

Answer:

Hi

Make sure that the connections from the data port to the circuit board are nice and secure.

May want to change out the data cable with another unit to see if this works as it may be a bad data cable.

Also, it could be that the data port on that board may be damaged. I would move that module to the very first module (or last) and avoid using that data port for controlling to see if this is the problem. If still doesn't work the board may need to be replaced.

The easiest way to see if the board is working is to isolate that unit with the controller and see if the LED intensities will increase/decrease. If they do not, the board will need be replaced. Let me know what you find out.
