Hello,
We've used this product before and it has worked and lowered phosphate levels. However the last jar we used on a marine aquarium aprox 160gal of water did not remove any phosphate. The levels remained high even with increased dosages of Rowa. Also we tested it with 3 different test kits to make sure the tests were accurate.Wondering what the problem is, is it a bad batch of Rowa?
Thanks,Delia

Sorry for the delay in responding.
It is not possible that Rowaphos will not remove any phosphate under any situation other than if it was used and full loaded already.
Are you sure of the supply of this particular purchase as it looks the same whether new or used. It was not from someone on ebay or similar I assume.
Remember too that the phosphate in the water is in balance with the phosphate bound up in the substrate and rocks. As you remove the phosphate from the water then it will allow more to be drawn from the substrate. There may be 4-5 times the phosphate in the substrate and so until this has been all removed you will still see a phosphate reading
Hope this helps
Stuart
