Operation of PF601s

Question:

Hello

In my manual for my deltec 601s. Here you write that it only must be "on"  fore a couple of houres dueing the daytime. When the reactor is off, what does that mean. Is co2 off, or water throug the reactor off. What about the aquarbee up3000 is it off or what?.

Yours sincerly

The pump on the calcium reactor would normally run all of the time however it is usual to only run the co2 during the day whilst the lights are running so that the lower pH water from the reactor created by the Co2 is balanced by the natural increase in pH that occurs in the tank from photosynthesis.

If you have a massive calcium demand and the reactor is too small then you may still have to run the reactor 24/7.

Normally you would set the reactor to give a DKH of about 50-60 from the reactor with the CO2 on and adjust the time that the reactor is working at this level by switching the CO2 with a solenoid.

All the best

Stuart
