MCE300 skimming wet

Question:

Hello ive tryed downloading your instructions for the skimmer with no joy what im after trying to find out is how do i get the skimmer to produce a dark thick skim in the collection cup rather then the brown colour water im getting at the moment ive tryed the air valve at most postions but find  it better at about the 2oclock postion any help would be great

 many thanks lee

Answer:

Sorry for the late reply.

You should start with the tap fully closed, at this point the impellor will
be pushed forward by the water and the amount of noise will increase as the
pins rub against the front housing. Slowly open the tap until the noise just
stops as this is the point where the pins are just missing the housing.
This is normally the point where you get the most air and best performance.
After you have set this let the levels settle then adjust the cup lid for a
drier skim.
Also make sure that there is nothing upsetting the flow out of the skimmer
that may cause a higher level within the skimmer that desired.

Hope this helps Tony
