Low voltage top up system pump question

Question:

Hi,

Sorry to disturb you but I have just bought an auto top up system made by yourselves and love it :) only have a small problem, I have got the low voltage pump but its max pumping height is not enough for my tank, could you recommend the best pump to lift 2metres and also where I could get one?

I would love to get this sorted quite quickly as it will save my daughter having to carry watering cans into the front room whist I am on holiday :) (i am a nasty dad lmao!! But someone has to look after the reef!!)

Thanks in advance for your help, (great site BTW)

Regards,

Pete

The head is between the 2 water levels and not floor to water level so if you are away I would fill up a container and stand it on a chair beside the tank.
Normally these are pumped used to top up into a sump so the head is no issue.

Regarding a pump then this is not easy as it is a low voltage unit.
We would normally sell the other top up with the mains socket on the end so that you can plug any 230v pump into it if the height is particularly high.

Regards
Stuart
