Hi
I wondered whether you could help I have a marine tank (vision 180) and find that the lighting is insufficient for the amount of corals I have (8). I donâ?Tt know whether you are familiar with this particular type of tank but it only has fixings for two bulbs in the middle of the lid, these being one blue, one white but being a flimsy lid I have been able to attach another white tube on one side of the tank (front panel) but theother one I attached to the back panel keeps falling off as they have no particular fixings. Do you have any suggestions?
Kind regards Joanne
Hi Joanne
I know the hood that you refer to and whilst o.k. for fresh water aquaria it
isn't very suitable
for marines if keeping corals although for fish only it would be o.k.
I'm afraid we don't have a retro hood that would fit, the only thing i would
suggest would be
a 4 tube Giesemann Reflexx T5 unit .

The unit would need to be suspended above the aquarium but would
dramatically increase the
light to the corals. There are optional mounting brackets that fit onto the
edges of the aquarium but I'm not
sure if these will fit a vision 180, if you are interested in this option i
can ask a D-D rep as he may have
experience regarding to this particular aquarium and bracket install.
