Hi,
I'm writing with a query about yr RO units,as i live in an area where all houses are fitted with water meters,if i purchaced one would it be possible to turn it off and only run it when required, I only normally use around 25 litres a week for water changes and topping up. would this adversely affect the membrane?
Thanks Rob
Hi Rob
Yes this method is strongly recommended, there is no reason to leave RO
units running as long as you don't let the membrane
dry out. Either elevate the effluent and waste pipes above the membrane or
fit RO taps on the pipes to keep the water in the unit when
turning off at the main water in tap.
