Flow direction through U.V ?

At which end should water from my aquarium enter the UV steriliser? the end nearest the plug or end furthest from the plug?

Answer:
Mr Oxford
I do not believe that the direction of flow will make a difference to the killing power as the UV will be emitted evenly along it's length.
