The humidity will have an affect on the efficiency of the unit as high humidity will reduce evaporation.

It is generally based on a humidity of 50% when we size the unit.

If it is outside then you normally have a higher efficiency as the water vapour is easier to remove and the incoming air is normally drier.

From about 80% the cooling effect drops off rapidly and so it does not really make sense financially if the humidity is always over 90%
