Deltec introduce new range of protein skimmers

The new Deltec “TC skimmer system is expected to be available in Europe by June 09 and offers considerable advantages over conventional protein skimmers. 

The Deltec TC system pressurizes the suction side of the skimmer pump increasing pump performance.

With the Deltec TC system only untreated water is fed into the skimmer pump, which increases the skimmer efficiency and skimmate output. With other systems the skimmer pump processes a large proportion of already skimmed water.
New high energy efficient Deltec skimmer pump with unparalleled E-T-A ratio (energy to air ratio).

The new Deltec skimmer pump has an E-T-A ratio of 1 to 60, i.e. for every Watt of power the pump produces 60 litres of air per hour – 3 times the ratio of the current Deltec Eheim pump.

The new pumps are currently only available for the larger Deltec skimmers but a smaller pump is also planned to allow them to be fitted to the other Deltec products in the future.
